Erika is a dynamic individual whose passion for animals shines through in her work as a veterinary technician. Graduating from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology in 2021 laid the foundation for her career. She further honed her skills by completing her veterinary technician degree at the University of Guelph Ridgetown campus in 2023. 

Since joining our team at the Hawkesbury Animal Hospital in June 2023, Erika has made a remarkable impact with her infectious bubbly personality and strong work ethic. Her willingness to tackle any task assigned to her reflects her dedication to providing top-notch care for animals. Erika’s has a special interest in veterinary anesthesia and radiology, driving her to excel in these specialized areas.  

Erika developed a deep connection with animals during her upbringing on a sheep farm in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. Growing up managing and caring for sheep, Erika gained firsthand experience in animal care. She often shares heartwarming stories of her experiences, from nurturing orphaned lambs to assisting with late-night birthing sessions. 

Outside of her professional pursuits, Erika finds solace and joy in the company of her beloved dog Dakota. Her commitment to a healthy lifestyle extends to her passion for running, highlighting her balanced approach to life.
